Nuts & dried fruit packaging is mostly stand-up pouches with a resealable zipper, because the bag has to sit on a shelf and be opened and closed many times. You pack roasted nuts, trail mix, dried mango, raisins, dates, seeds and snack mixes in them. Three decisions matter most: barrier, because oxygen and moisture turn nuts stale and make dried fruit sticky; closure, usually a zipper, sometimes with a degassing valve for freshly roasted nuts; and size, which follows your fill weight. What is the minimum order quantity for printed pouches?
Digital printing starts at 100 pcs for pouches and 10 kg for rollstock film. Rotogravure starts at 10,000 pcs or 200 kg of film. If you need a printed label on stock unprinted packaging, that is a third route and we can quote it once we know the pouch size and label quantity.
How do I choose the right pouch size for my fill weight?
Tell us the product, the fill weight in grams or ounces, and whether you want a tight or loose fill. We will match that to a stock pouch size, or make a custom size. Nuts and dried fruit vary in density, so the fill weight alone is not enough to confirm a size.
Which material should I pick for nuts and dried fruit?
It depends on shelf life and your recycling or composting claim. Foil and metallised laminates give the highest barrier against oxygen and moisture. Recyclable PE and PP mono-material, home and industrial compostable, and kraft paper are also available. Tell us your target shelf life and storage conditions and we will recommend one.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. We provide free stock samples and you cover the courier only. Samples of stock pouches ship quickly. If you need a printed sample with your artwork, that runs through the normal digital printing lead time of 10-15 working days from artwork approval, and we will confirm the cost with the quote.
