Home compostable packaging covers pouches and rollstock film made from PLA/PBS and similar compostable substrates. Common structures include stand up pouches, flat bottom pouches, three-side-seal packs and rollstock, often laminated with kraft paper for stiffness. These materials break down in a home compost heap, so they suit brands selling coffee, tea, dry snacks or pet treats where the pack is likely to be composted rather than landfilled. Barrier performance is lower than PET/AL/PE, so shelf life for oxygen-sensitive or high-fat products is shorter. Buyers are usually small roasters and snack brands with a sustainability mandate. Digital printing starts at 100 pouches; rotogravure at 10,000. Free stock samples are available; the customer pays courier only.
