For products sensitive to oxygen, a one-way degassing valve can be added for coffee, while a zipper or tear notch improves usability. A window is not typical because it would interrupt the metallized barrier. Compared to a foil laminate, this material may have slightly lower oxygen barrier, but it meets recyclability goals where that matters. For extended shelf life, a foil structure may still be preferred.
