Typical thickness runs from 100 to 120 microns for mono-PE and 60 to 80 microns for mono-PP, depending on fill weight. Without aluminium or metallised layers, the structure blocks moisture and oxygen less than a foil laminate, so it suits shorter shelf-life or oxygen-sensitive products that are sold quickly.
The format fits coffee, tea, pet food and snacks. On a vertical form-fill-seal line, the flat bottom needs a machine set up for that style, or you can fill and seal on a premade pouch line. A degassing valve makes sense for roasted coffee, and a zipper or tin tie helps once the bag is opened. A window is possible but adds a second material, which can complicate recycling.
