High-Quality Stand Up Pouches for Dog Food Packaging

This stand up pouch is built for dry dog food and treats. The structure is a PET/PE laminate at 140 micron, with the PET outer layer giving stiffness and print protection, and the PE inner layer providing the seal and moisture barrier. The pouch stands on its base, which makes it stable on shelf and easy to scoop from. Thickness and material can be adjusted to match the fill weight and expected shelf life. For heavier fills, a flat bottom or side gusset version may carry the load better than a standard stand up pouch.

Use it for kibble, biscuits, training treats and meal toppers. On filling lines, the pouch runs on standard form-fill-seal or pre-made pouch equipment. The top seal needs a clean, cool area before filling, and the zipper, if fitted, sits below the tear notch. A one-way degassing valve is not typical for dry pet food but can be added if the product releases gas. A window helps show the kibble, though it reduces the barrier area slightly. If you need full recyclability, a mono-material PE structure is an option, but it gives a shorter shelf life than a PET/PE or foil laminate. For long ambient storage, keep the PET/PE or consider a foil layer.
