This flat pouch is sealed on three sides and made from a laminated structure of matte film, pure aluminium and polyethylene. The 140-micron thickness gives it a firm hand feel and good puncture resistance, while the aluminium layer blocks light and moisture. It protects tea leaves, ground coffee and dry snacks from staling, clumping and aroma loss. The matte outer film keeps the print area non-reflective, so text and branding stay readable under shop lighting.
Use it for tea bags, loose tea, single-serve coffee or small snack portions. The flat format fills well on vertical form-fill-seal lines and runs on standard three-side-seal machines. The wide seal area supports a clean fin seal on the back or sides, depending on the filling orientation. A zipper or tear notch can be added for resealability and easy opening. A window is possible but reduces barrier where the film is clear. A one-way degassing valve is not typical on this format because the flat pouch has little headspace; for roasted coffee, a stand-up pouch with a valve is usually a better fit. If recyclability is the priority, a mono-material PE or PP structure can replace the aluminium laminate, but expect a shorter shelf life for oxygen-sensitive products. Yes, we can replace the matte film/aluminium/PE laminate with a mono-material PE or PP recyclable structure. However, removing the aluminium reduces the moisture and oxygen barrier, so it suits shorter shelf-life products like tea consumed within a few months. For long-life coffee or oxygen-sensitive snacks, the foil laminate remains the safer choice.
What is the minimum order quantity for this flat pouch?
With digital printing, you can order from 100 pieces per pouch size. For rotogravure printing, the MOQ is 10,000 pieces.
