Custom Child Resistant Reclosable Edible Packaging Bag with Zipper

This is a child-resistant reclosable pouch built as a stand-up, flat-bottom, three-side-seal or organ bag. The structure uses a mono-material of PE or PP, so the whole pack can go into a polyethylene or polypropylene recycling stream where collection exists. Thickness is set by the application, typically 100 to 150 microns for PE and 80 to 120 microns for PP, giving stiffness for shelf presence and puncture resistance for sharp-edged contents. The closure is a press-to-close zipper that needs two distinct actions to open, which meets child-resistance requirements for edible and medicinal products.

Use it for cannabis flower or edibles, supplement capsules, pet treats and over-the-counter medication. On a vertical form-fill-seal line, the mono-PE version runs at moderate speeds and seals with standard heat-seal jaws; the mono-PP version needs higher seal temperature and is better suited to pre-made pouch filling. A one-way degassing valve suits roasted coffee or fermented products, a clear window shows the contents without opening, and a spout is not typical on this format because the child-resistant zipper already handles dispensing. Mono-PE wins when recyclability is the priority and the product tolerates moderate oxygen and moisture barrier. If the product is oxygen-sensitive or needs a long shelf life, a PET/AL/PE laminate still performs better, but it is not recyclable in the same stream.
