The format suits tea and coffee packers running vertical or semi-automatic filling lines. Fill through the top opening, then seal the top seam; the zip sits below the seal and stays usable after opening. A one-way degassing valve makes sense for roasted coffee but not for tea. A window works if you want the leaf or bean visible, though it removes barrier in that area. A foil structure like this gives the best barrier; if you need recyclability, a mono-PE or mono-PP laminate is a better route, but expect shorter shelf life and a different print finish.
