This is a flat, three-side-seal pouch built for cosmetic packaging. The construction is OPP/PET/aluminium/PE at 100 micron, and the aluminium layer blocks light, oxygen and moisture. That matters for formulas with oils, actives or fragrance. The pouch can also be made in other material combinations if the barrier requirement is different. The flat, free-shape format gives a clean print area on the front and back, with seals on three sides.
It is used for powders, creams, lotions, masks and sample sachets. On a filling line, the pouch is filled from the open top edge and then heat-sealed. The flat format runs well on vertical form-fill-seal and hand-fill setups, but it has no base gusset, so it stands only if the product supports it. A zipper is possible but adds cost and reduces the fill opening. A window can be added if the material is changed to a clear laminate, though that removes the aluminium barrier. For a recyclable mono-PE or mono-PP structure, barrier drops and shelf life shortens; foil laminates remain the better choice for light- and oxygen-sensitive cosmetics.
