This is a stand-up pouch with a spout, built from a laminated OPP/PET aluminium/PE structure at 140 micron. The OPP outer layer provides a printable surface, PET adds stiffness and puncture resistance, aluminium foil blocks light, oxygen and moisture, and the PE inner layer allows heat sealing. The result is a robust pack that protects liquid and semi-liquid foods from spoilage and leakage. The spout, welded into the top seam, allows clean dispensing and resealing.
The format suits soups, sauces, purees and other flowable products. Filling lines need a spout fitment for automatic fill-and-cap, or manual filling if volumes are low. The stand-up base requires a filling temperature compatible with the PE sealant, and the pouch must be supported during filling to avoid creasing. A one-way degassing valve is not typical here because the pack holds liquid; a zipper is also uncommon since the spout is the reclosure. A window can be added if the product is visible, but it reduces barrier area. For brands prioritising recyclability, a mono-material PE structure can replace the foil laminate, though it will not match the same oxygen and light barrier. The foil laminate remains the better choice for long shelf life.
