The aluminium foil does the work that matters here. It blocks oxygen, moisture and light, which is what stale coffee reacts to. The matte oil surface keeps the pack from looking glossy and takes print well.
The format suits whole bean and ground coffee, and the same construction is used for tea and dry snacks. Side gussets let the bag stand and hold a blocky shape on shelf, and they give more surface area for print than a flat pouch. Fill through the top, then seal. A one-way degassing valve is the usual addition on roasted coffee, because CO2 needs to escape without letting oxygen in. A zipper helps once the bag is opened. A window is possible but it removes part of the foil layer, so barrier drops in that area. If recyclability is the priority, a mono-material PE structure is the better route, but it will not match foil on shelf life. For long-dated roasted coffee, keep the aluminium.
