Reusable Flat Bottom Child Resistant Pouches

This flat bottom pouch is built from a single polymer family, either PE or PP, so the whole bag can go into a mono-material recycling stream. The flat base lets it stand on a shelf without support, and the three-side-seal or organ-bag construction keeps the seams clean. Thickness is set by the film specification, not by a laminate, so the pack stays stiff enough for stacking while remaining flexible. It protects contents from moisture and light to the degree the chosen film allows, but it is not a high-barrier foil replacement.

You see this format in cannabis, supplement, pet food, and medication lines where child resistance and recyclability both matter. It runs on standard vertical form-fill-seal equipment with a flat-bottom tooling set; sealing temperature and dwell need to match the PE or PP skin. A zipper, hang hole, or window can be added, but a window breaks the mono-material stream. A degassing valve is possible on PE versions, though it adds a foreign component. Mono-PE wins when recycling claims drive the brief; a foil laminate still wins when oxygen and moisture barrier over a long shelf life is the priority.
