This side gusset bag is built from a three-part laminate: a matte oil outer layer, a pure aluminium barrier layer and a PE inner sealant layer. The total thickness is 140 micron. The aluminium core blocks moisture, oxygen and light, which slows staling in roasted coffee and protects tea leaves and snack products from losing aroma or going soft. The matte oil finish gives a low-sheen surface that takes print well without glare.
The side gussets let the bag stand and expand as it fills, so it holds a stable shape on shelf and uses cube space efficiently in a carton. Run it on vertical form-fill-seal or pre-made pouch lines. Sealing needs clean, flat PE surfaces, so keep the seal bars aligned with the gusset folds. A one-way degassing valve suits roasted coffee; a zipper or tin tie works for tea and snacks that are opened repeatedly. A window is less common here because the aluminium layer already blocks light. If recyclability is the priority, a mono-material PE structure is the better route, but it gives up some of the oxygen and moisture barrier that this foil laminate delivers.
