Rollstock Film

Rollstock film is supplied on reels for form-fill-seal lines and high-volume wrapping. It runs on vertical and horizontal machines, so the film must match your seal jaws, web width and tension settings. Common structures include PET/AL/PE for barrier, PET/NY/PE for toughness, kraft paper laminates, mono-material PE and PP for recyclable formats, and PLA/PBS compostable options. These films block moisture, oxygen and light where the structure requires it, and protect against punctures and aroma loss. Coffee roasters, snack brands, pet food makers and contract manufacturers choose rollstock when they need continuous output rather than pre-made pouches. The trade-off is that rollstock offers no built-in opening feature; zippers, valves or tear notches must be added to the film or the finished pack.
